No, all members of U@CU’s Bargaining Unit must join the union or pay a service fee beginning before or after 31 days of initial hire regardless of the amount of appointed hours.
When are part-time employees eligible to receive benefits?
A part-timer who works and has worked only during the academic year must have worked at least 500 hours in each of the past two academic years and should be scheduled to work at least 500 hours during the following academic year.
If the building is closed due to an emergency, will I still get paid even though I did not work?
Full time and eligible part-time employees will receive their pay for the time they were scheduled to work.
